What Century City does to Viking equipment
Century City kitchens are the tightest this site works in, and that shapes the job more than the fault does. A wall oven here is built into a cabinet run with a fixed cut-out, a finished panel on either side and, very often, a single route in and out of the kitchen. Nothing about that changes what has broken. It changes entirely how long the repair takes and what has to be carried.
So the diagnosis is done in place. Cavity temperature through a preheat, each element checked separately, the latch driven and watched, the ribbon behind the panel inspected before the board is suspected — all of it possible with the oven exactly where the installer left it. Only once there is a part to fit does anything need to come forward.
The other Corridor pattern is electrical, and it is not the oven’s fault. A building that drops its supply for a fraction of a second leaves half the appliances on the floor confused, and an oven control is among the least forgiving of them. A panel that has gone dark after a blip is worth power-cycling at the breaker before it is worth worrying about, and it is a long way from a dead board.

Almost always, yes. Temperature, element continuity, latch position and panel response are all readable with the oven where it stands. Pulling a wall oven forward is reserved for the repair itself, and on a tower floor that is worth knowing before anyone books a service lift for the afternoon.
